SCHENCK W-450 EDDY Current Dyno S/N 0226

Obtained from Scania of Sweden who used it from new in emissions testing of Diesels.
Rated 600 BHP Continuous, 2000 RPM on up.
1000 BHP Intermittent duty.
Max Speed 5500 RPM
Dyno built in 1972 and is rated for 100,00 Hours continuous duty at max power.
With the dyno equipement was a small timer that showed about 7000 hours (we assume this is the total run time but this can not be verified).
Condition appears very good and turns very freely. Excuse the handling paint nicks.

Dyno includes:
2 dead weight Torq Arms (Long & Short), knife edge, and a tray for the dead weights.
HBM factory installed Strain Gauge (with protective shunt for shipping).
Speed/Torque Controller for 19" rack mount 220 VAC 50 Hz. Has built in Tach Indicator.
Drive Shaft, about 1 meter long with U-joint coupling at dyno end and a 16 tooth 50.5 mm Dia Spline at drive end.
There are various splined couplings to mate the drive shaft to the engine.
included are 2 orange painted thin shields to cover drive-shaft.
Load input from either end of the dyno.
Electric cables for the speed control and Strain Gauge.

Weight: About 6,500 Lbs

Power handling: 250 BHP at 1000 RPM, 600 BHP at 2000 RPM, and up CONTNUOUS, 1000 BHP Intermittent.

Manuals written in German and Swedish included.

Dyno was shipped to us as a complete running system and in storage 15+ years.
Damaged in moving is a small over-temperature sensor on one the two water cooling outlets.
Dyno is still strapped to its original shipping Pallet.
